How come Rosberg isn't overtaking Verstappen? It's the easiest circuit to overtake in and it's a Red Bull up front? Verstappen for Mercedes pls.

Man what an embarrassing day for "the German". "The German" screws up the start for his German team and his British teammate had to save his German team in Germany.

And the Red Bulls ahead of Ferrari going into the summer break. Called it 6 races ago. I was the raving lunatic at that f1site 6 races ago saying RB will jump Ferrari by midseason, should've put money on it.

Normal Order Restored! Poor Nico, 43 points ahead going into Monaco and now 19 points behind. It would have been even more behind if the radio ban allowed Mercedes to fix Hamilton's issue in Baku! So... 26 days off. Perhaps Nico should spend it in a simulator ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

They will have to change the radio rules again to allow coaching on the formation lap - poor Nico

Apparently Rosberg is saying to RTL that Verstappen braked too late, 'like always' he says.

I see, that's why Blondie went straight on again to the edge of the circuit with his steering wheel dead straight. Freakin mutt.

ricciardo is my new favourite driver!!! shoed his champagne on the podium!!!
Rosberg blatently pushed verstappen off the track I have to say.
Amazing move by verstappen on ricciardo and great defence from ricciardo on rosberg early on. some good racing.

Lewis has become a cut above the driver he was even last year. The guy is utterly controlling the race and unless he makes a grave mistake or has a mechanical issue, no one else will win a race.
It's remarkable how Nico does fall apart like a gluten free cookie under the slightest bit of pressure.

Nico has proven to Merc without a doubt he's a B class driver. When the going gets tough, he's nowhere to be found.
Reverse roles, after Lewis gets a shit start would he end up behind BOTH Redbulls? Even a thicko like Toto Wolff knows the answer to that one.

Talking points for me:
Hamilton was calm an controlled and has so much confidence heading into the last 9 races, even with engine penalties hanging over him. Kyvat had a solid race and finished, something to form a platform for the second half. Massa has lost the mental game. A slight knock and he's done in races. He should bow out gracefully. Rosberg has lost confidence in himself and, baring mechanical interference, it will be harder for him to close 19 points than it was for Lewis to close 43 points. Red Bull had a solid team race, no petty rubbish, just good teamwork and racing. Alonso still has the moves, if only he had the equipment. Looking forward to a good 2017 for McLaren. Vettel has big trust issues with Ferrari strategy team. Can't really blame him, but they need to sort that crap out if they want to push Red Bull.

Merc decided that a 5 seconds wasn't enough for Nico, turned out Nico sat still for 8 seconds in that pit stop.

Yep. They started the stopwatch from a minus time.

Actually it was more than 8 seconds, I believe...err what's the scottish chaps name who does the skybox commentary? He mentioned 8, but I felt it was incorrect since the stop watch showed Rosberg was stationary for 12 seconds! Which meant they had him there for almost 10 seconds because the stop itself wasn't so bad. Don't know what happened there, I think the guy timing it messed up quite badly.

Yeah, 12 second stop overall, 4 seconds for the actual service and 8 seconds for sitting still without mechanics hands touching the car.
