-For the 7th time this season the polesitter wasn’t in the lead after lap 1
Don't know why but this one stood out the most for me.

Whats really impressive is that Lewis only has 2 fastest laps this season, and he hasnt even tried for the sake of it. That shows real discipline, focus and maturity. Pulling 6 second gaps and maintaining them to save his engine and not worrying that he isnt spanking the others. Almost cerebral ![:yikes:](//storage.proboards.com/6185248/images/EuAd3Nf43i4_xZ3VX9GB.gif)

Don't know why but this one stood out the most for me. It should, its huge, 7/10 randomised grids (after the first turn) Then you remember how hard Bernie tried to get his 'reverse grid' or his 'punish Merc for being the best' - all that idiocy surrounding the quali system. And even after they ditched the radio ban, they kept it for the formation lap No doubt, the amount of environmental variability between the practice start to the actual start makes it a lottery who gets the optimum start parameters after the formation lap. Merc are out in front so they look inconsistent but I reckon every team has had brilliant/shit starts pretty much randomly Lewis seems to be getting there but I reckon thats more Nico screwing up after the initial start - last race he wasnt actually faster off the start than Max

I'd wondered why Vettel had droped so much time but hadn't seen an explanation... until now. What brilliant example of having your head up your ass. But I guess it's a case of a tree falling in the forest and there being no one there to hear it. Winning.
