So a short 880 mile drive south from Austin brings us to the Mexican GP. Last year's race was somewhat anticlimactic to say the least. This year with the addition of the Super Soft tire, maybe we'll see some action. This is a power track and maybe, just maybe Ferrari won't be a second + off the Mercedes pace so Vettel won't feel as desperate and make an embarrassing mistake punting someone off the track on lap one. You'd think that a four time WDC would know better but hey that's just the way it goes. Rosberg, maybe he'll clinch his very first championship this race!?!? It's possible really, all it would take is win from him and a 10th or lower from Hamilton and he's golden. Can his luck come through for him here or will he need to wait until the very last race as Toto told us back in the summer break? Or maybe just Lewis will make a bad start like it's been the fashion? Red Bull is going to have to pull out something special here to come out on top of the red cars, but then again they've been surprising us of late. Force India and Williams, that's going to be a good question this weekend. May be the toughest fight to come for the remainder of the season. Expecting a little more action here to be honest but the winner will come from Mercedes given the HP demands this track makes. Let's enjoy another mid afternoon race for me, where I can drink a beer, eat a burger and be present.

I love the length from the start to turn 1 here. A sluggish start can be overcome by raw power, so that helps Lewis a little but also means that regardless of starts, it's likely to be a Merc 1-2 into the first corner or turn 4 at the very latest.

Was it Mexico last year when Alonso uttered the GP2 engine comment?

No, he chose a timely place to insult the Honda engine - Suzuka.

For those of you following me on my rant account on twitter.....don't mind my tweets. Just ranting. With a side dish of bitterness and a dash of accusation.

Interesting stat for Dougued since I know he loves Lewis Hamilton stats... Lewis has taken pole position at more different circuits than anyone in history, yes even Schumacher. If he wins in Mexico tomorrow he'll have tied Schumacher for most wins in different circuits at 23 a piece. I mean, being the one guy in the only guy in the sport that could claim that, the only guy in the sport. That's kind of neet.

Why are people so damn salty over criticism, opinions and predictions?
Over the last year, I've gave plenty of predictions, opinions and criticisms of drivers and they always get ignored, told I'm stupid, told that I'm wrong, made fun of, laughed at... etc but then so far all of them have been spot on and proven correct within a few days, just like my comments about red bull going to be faster than Ferrari this weekend (pre-friday), obviously on friday they were all "see", "told you so"... etc and Saturday comes along and they get spanked.

Twisted Toto is now saying Mercedes is under pressure to ensure maximum 'fairness' for both drivers when employing race strategy.
I wonder why they are so damn concerned about both reliability and fairness only after Malaysia....before that, WHO GIVES A SHIT RIGHT. And all this BS about "ensuring they do not influence the WDC in ANY way from here on in". Fuckers

I have a first corner prediction: Both Redbulls will be ahead of at least 1 Mercedes.
I'm just hoping Lewis is ahead of Nicole after Lap 1.

Yeah, it's a bit Trump of Toto to claim that, specifically after only one guy has been impacted by the previous fuckups. It's all good, whatever the outcome this year is the outcome this year. Looking forward to next season, its new cars and new challenges.
With another team or two in the way, Nico will be relegated to the number two role PDQ if there's fights to be had.

I wouldn't be surprised if the RB's get the jump on at least 1 Merc. Likewise Vettel getting overtaken by a car or two behind him but he'll get the places back when they pit.

From a pace standpoint the Mercs are just as fast on the soft and the Red Bulls on Super Softs... that being said it's only about traction off the line. I'm sure a Merc will get jumped but it's a long long straight. Nico and Lewis will be ahead after turn one I'm afraid.
Unless Nico finsihes 3rd or lower, I'm afraid Lewis' title hopes are severely dashed after today. He's nevr done well in Interlagos, I'm expecting Rosberg to win and clinch there unless there's a poor result for him today.
Don't shoot the messenger, just keeping it real is all.
