Here's a place where we can air our grievances, post our thoughts and collect our commentaries of the wacky and oft unpredictable despite the predictability of what was the 2016 Formula 1 season.

Tops on the winners list for me this year; Yeap, that's right, we done good with our little family of loudmouth dysfunctional fans. We grew our membership, we have constant activity and hell we've even managed to solve personal problems give friendly advice and generally make our lives more enjoyable. Sure you can post a FB comment but here, we have dialogue, ridicule and warm hugs in equal measure.

Let me take my medicine and make is at painless as possible. Nico Rosberg is a winner because he's now a WDC and congratulations to him for that!
He joins an illustrious list of champions the likes of Jacques Villeneuve, Jody Scheckter, Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button and daddy Keke.

The one thing that really irritates me about Nico Rosberg (apart from his face & voice) is that he never puts the headrest back on the fucking car ! Winds me right up.

Winner: Inter Forum League 2016I want to personally thank pob for making the game possible all by himself. It's a shitload of work and the fact that he gets no "help" from the zDKf1 site makes it even more admirable. Greatly appreciated. That being said, it's been one of the things our little forum that could has greatly excelled at. If you protracted our half season results throughout the entirety of the season we'd been one hell of a force to be reckoned with. I think our skill at the pool game has really honed our abilities to do well in the league for 2017. So let's get to it.

It's good to see Sainz getting some recognition from the bosses. The rest, well I remember Alonso winning these polls often during the Red Bull domination years, but Nico not being ranknd at least 2nd while managing to snag a WDC, that's not a common occurrence in these things. I'm sure he's not going to lose sleep over it though, he's a world champion! Wouldn't we love to know how Toto voted?

I think the team bosses can't vote for their own drivers for No.1.

Had to cringe when David Coulthard on the Abu Dhabi podium told Vettel it had been back in Monza since he last stood on a podium. Sebastian Vettel was a loser in 2016. Again a year without a victory but unlike 2014 with Reb Bull, he can't run, he's got to stay and tough it out and as we've seen with anything but a sub par ride, Vettel struggles. Worst of all, he finishes only 26 points ahead of a revitalized Kimi, a driver who hasn't bested a team mate since his return to Ferrari and looking at the totals, was outqualified by Kimi as well! Vettel could have helped keep the Scuderia 2nd in the constructors but his head, his heart, or something else simply wasn't in it. There were numerous uncharacteristic mistakes both in qualifying and on race day, the worst of which was careening across his teammates' nose, something that must have more than raised eyebrows at Maranello. Between the ceaseless complaining about other drivers and cursing out stewards and Charlie, this was without a doubt Vettels worst year behind the wheel of an F1 car. Ferrari does seem to have a knack for getting drivers past their prime it would seem. Hopefully the revised regulations will give the Scuderia some life in 2017, but don't hold your breath... when was the last time you remember them getting immediately on top during a new regulation season? Hoping for a better 2017 with both him and his team!

WINNERS
LEWIS - for only losing by 5 points with multiple technicals.

SAINZ - for keep popping it in the top ten
OCON - for that wet weather drive
ALONSO - For putting that McLaren where it shouldn't really be.
RAIKONEN- for getting his mojo back and helping show the world Vettel is nothing special
HORNER - For calling out Toto about his team orders and treatment of Lewis last race.
LOSERS
BUTTON- blown away. No grip, no balance, can't understand what happened.
VETTEL - shocking year
KVYAT - shocking year.....feel sad for him
LAUDA - For blaming Lewis in Spain before he had the facts.
TOTO - For calling Max's dad and putting team orders on Hamilton to protect Rosberg.

I dont think I have time
WINNER
- (Would've put Rosberg here if not for the retirement news, tail between legs manufactured WDC)
MAX VERSLAPPEN
From out of nowhere lands that top brass drive, kicks some serious ass, makes a major impact in F1 and everyones naysayers.
And winning me as a fan. I love this guy. I love his bitchiness, his boldness, his raw freakin talent, his defensive skills (till stewards crapped it up), and HE IS MADE OF THE SAME CLOTH AS LEWIS "NEVER SAY DIE"
LOSER
SEBASTIAN VETTEL
- got his ass handed to him by Kimi, just about sneaked ahead in WDC, but got outqualified by the guy who got stamped and buried by Alonso 2 seasons in a row in the same team.
- Won the Razzie WWC "World Whining Championship" of the year.

Biggest winner of the 2016 season, Sahara Force India
Fourth in the constructors might not seem like a big deal, hell teams like Mclaren, Ferrari and Red Bull do that and it's seen as a miserable failure. But Sahara Force India making it into that spot, it could quite possibly be the greatest single achievement in the sport to date this century by a midfield Team!
The difference in payout will mean all the difference to the team and could potentially give them a leg up on the rest of the mid field, between the Mercedes engine and what they've been able to do with the resources and the legal wranglings of their duplicitous owner it's a Christmas miracle what this little team that could has achieved.

I hope Mallyas off track BS isn't going to affect the team, based on their efficiency with funds I think there's a small chance they could overhaul the most wasteful team in F1 next year, the clowns who ended up just ahead of them.

WINNERS
1) Hamilton, amazing driving all year except for some duff starts and a series of mechanical issues. To lose by only 5 points is super embarrassing for Rosberg.
2) Rosberg, decent driving all year, nothing really spectacular but still I'm glad he won because I wanted a new teammate for Hamilton, someone who's more competitive and can push Hamilton.
3) Ricciardo, amazing driving all year; up there with Hamilton and he spanked Verstappen the majority of the time (excluding when team strategy came into play)
4) Verstappen, receiving a promotion way too early, Kvyat should have kept the seat until the end of the year. Decent driving, a few young driver mistakes here and there but other times he showed some great racing.
5) Wherlein, decent all year in a car that is poop. He out performed both teammates and dominated in several qualifying sessions
6) Alonso, amazing driving all year, again up there with Hamilton and Riccardio. He drove the socks of that car and managed to score decently consistantly.
7) Kvyat, while he got demoted and was feel really shitty for a while he pulled himself back together and started to improve.
8) Force India, amazing driving and an awesome car for how small their budget is. They should be very proud of how well they did this year.
9) Manor, a big step up in performance from last year and have now comfortably broken out of that worst team spot (at least for 2016) even though the overall results don't show it because Sauber lucked into some points with wet Brazil.
LOSERS
1) Vettel, too much whinging on the radio.
2) Verstappen, unsafe driving multiple times. Moving under braking, over aggressive and just dangerous at times.
3) Toto, for trying to apply team orders at the last race of the season when the championship is ongoing. If Hamilton wants to go slow, let him. It's tactics.
4) Rosberg, retiring after becoming World Champion... pretty pathetic and weak if you ask me. He basically admitted he got super lucky and isn't anywhere near as good as Hamilton because he knows that if he continued racing in 2017 that Hamilton would put the hammer down. He's also a loser because of the Austria incident which was beyond dirty.
5) Lauda, for shit stirring all year especially at Spain assigning blame to Hamilton even though more blame should be given to Rosberg for being in the wrong mode.
6) Sauber, poor car all year...

Any statisticians/historians here know how many previous Champions rabbitted right after winning the title? I just realized Nico will never drive a lap in F1 as World Champion. It's like getting promoted to CEO in a multinational, and then you quit. And then you tell your grandchildren "I used to be CEO (for a few seconds after promotion)."
