The long runs on Friday look like Mercedes have better race pace, the start is going to be very important.
It would be so interesting to switch the Ferrari drivers with Merc drivers, who knows we might find that the Ferrari is equal or faster than the Merc just that Hamilton is just better or we might see it the other way round with Vettel being better.

I already think Joylyn Palmer should not be in F1.
Sounds like a spoilt brat even more than last year.
Max will come good soon.

He's already talked so much shit during Q3 if I were team boss I'd be looking at loopholes to kick his ass out asap. And I feel Max has a chance to beat Ricciardo this year. Ricciardo might have a small 'pressure' issue, which he dealt with very well last year....but Max was always playing catch up. This time they start level.

The Hamilton going out on used US was apparently an error on the part of Pirelli getting the right info to timing and scoring. If anyone finds an onboard of Vettel's lap. I'd like to take a look at it. Hamilton's lap was silky smooth, not a single error and hardly any steering input. Mercedes once again got it right.

I couldn't disagree more, he has had problems after problems with his car so hasn't had any decent practice, had issues with his car in qualifying so obviously he is going to be pissed off and struggle compared to others. Palmer: - Practice 1: 6 laps
- Practice 2: 4 laps
- Practice 3: 12 laps
- Qualifying: 7 laps
- Total: 29 laps
Hulkenberg: - Practice 1: 15 laps
- Practice 2: 36 laps
- Practice 3: 10 laps
- Qualifying: 12 laps
- Total: 73 laps
Anyone would be pissed off. And I feel Max has a chance to beat Ricciardo this year. Ricciardo might have a small 'pressure' issue, which he dealt with very well last year....but Max was always playing catch up. This time they start level. I really don't see that happening, Verstappen's initial confidence boost is gone and Ricciardo has already shown he's able to be faster than Verstappen all weekend up until a tiny mistake / car problem where his rear just gave up. There's certainly still a bit of time in Hamilton's lap, especially in sector 2.

Being pissed off, he totally has the right. Being pissed off and pretty much slagging off the whole team to the media is a completely different thing - one which makes him sound like a dick. Daddys money has obviously gone to his head...

Anyone would be pissed off. Doesn't matter if you get 0 laps in before qualifying begins, the way he he talks smack about his own car is just ridiculous. Did you see what he said? Maybe that could fly 30 years ago when teams didn't care about PR and sponsors, but if I were the Renault MD I'd be absolutely reeling over those words. Just shows bad sportsmanship, a whinging little brat who doesn't appreciate the opportunity given to a nobody. Alonso has a right to talk some shit about his car since he's won 2 Championships and is a somebody in the league.

I'm in a panic. I know the race starts at 6 . So I have to be up about 5.30, but the clocks change. I think they go forward, but I'm never sure how that works. If the clocks go forward , youd think the race goes forward...but I'm not sure it does, it might go backwards. So is the race really at 5 or at 7 ......if I don't change my watch. So what do I set my alarm for? 4.30 or 6. 30? And it's a smart phone, smart, clever, sometimes it knows the clocks have changed, but not always. So it might change its own time, in which case I pretend the clocks haven't changed and carry on as normal. But if my phone forgets, then I'm either up way too early ( not too bad) or I'm up after the race has started. So what do I do??

it's a little box where the cable signal comes into, it has a hard drive and it records whatever shows I tell it to record so I can fast forward through commercials. I record ALL races even if I watch them live.
D digital V video R recorder.

Oh right, yes if course. Well that won't work because the race isn't on the tele . I have 'now tv' from sky , so I have to get it on the laptop then through to the tele. But periodically a little box comes on. Well quite a big box Really and you have to click continue, to get it away.

Not a good Q for me, Dan backing it in the gravel was a downer and the car is more off the benchmark than I thought. Surely the suspension changes has played a part, That car is nowhere as stable as the top 2. Anyways good news is Merc has a serious battle on their hands for the race which is welcomed, although would be better if it were Red Bull putting up the challenge instead of Ferrari.
Being a 1 stop race, the start is going to be critical and potentially decides who wins.

I thought Danni was looking pretty good till that little error. He seemed to have the measure of Max until that point. Maybe he was pushing just a little too hard to get that advantage. Max has consistently said that they won't be on the pace of the Mercs and Ferrari's at the beginning of the season, but he thinks they'll get there. ........so don't give up Frontrunner.
