ahahahaha...amateurs.
I like the Mercedes. Looks pretty sleek. The Ferrari looks uglish. But interesting lines I have to admit.
On overall it feels like all teams have sort of converged into 1 though.

The Ferrari is looking gorgeous but the nose is ugly. Mercs implemented the halo the worst with Haas.

I think the halo would've looked much better left black on the Ferrari, are they the only team to add any faring to it?
Edit: I see dauber has too.

On overall it feels like all teams have sort of converged into 1 though. It's pretty funny that their livery got leaked by the airports official Twitter account. They removed the tweet shortly after but people already had saved the picture. The Mercedes is the least changed car they've just refined lots of areas. I love the shaping of the car and it looks like it'll be fast. For me Ferrari does look a little ugly but only because of the sidepods. It almost looks like they know they can't beat Mercedes and Red Bull in the aero game so they are trying something different. They probably have the most cooling which is funny because they had the least last year lol. The Ferrari is looking gorgeous but the nose is ugly. Mercs implemented the halo the worst with Haas. Mercedes have always had the best nose. I don't think Ferraris looks terrible but it's certainly not as nice as Mercedes or Saubers. I think something looks wrong on Ferrari, it looks maybe too red... It might just be the ugly sidepod mess.

RyRy Actually I find the W09 looking really weird on some angles and good on other, It was already the case with the W08 for me, certainly because of the shape of the car and the sharkfin which looked like a wall (actually I am glad they took it off by a good percentage). But dont get me wrong I somehow liked the W08 and I know I will somehow like the W09 also, maybe it's because I am biased towards Lewis who makes the car looking iconic.
Talking about Ferrari at first I didnt like it, but then I looked this video and man, those pictures dont do it justice (It might be the case with all the cars actually).
at 2:30
Do you still think the car is ugly after seeing the video ?

Don't forget, Ferrari have also lengthened the wheel base to combat some of the Mercedes advantage, so some changes are due to elongating.

Just saw the McLaren, what a joke. The car looks like shit, the paint job looks like something I'd see in a nightmare. Razzie of the grid for sure.

I don't really like the look of the car yet everyone else seems to love it... :S - Flared nose concept that we've seen many times before. - A very interesting front wing, you compare the shape of each part compared to other teams and McLaren's is more bendy looking. - Interesting sidepod fins, looks like a hedgehog. - Very weird bargeboard, looks like a piece of mangled metal but it's also similar to the Sauber in how they've twisted the carbon rather than appending. - Very simple looking turning vane and bargeboard area compared to other teams To me the car looks slow... :/

What is its function? To smooth airflow/reduce turbulence towards the airbox?

Toro Rosso
What is its function? To smooth airflow/reduce turbulence towards the airbox? Yup. To minimise the aerodynamic implications of the halo.

There’s a bit about them all in here www.skysports.com/f1/news/12433/11196560/f1-2018-the-new-cars-are-launchedFirst glance at them, and I may change my mind when I see them on the tele. Mercedes as always, looks class. The red bull looks a beast , but that’s in its interim colours. I actually liked it a lot. But round a track the usual colours look stunning, so either way I think it will look good. The Ferrrai looks red. but quite a lot of red, and I like that more than when they had the white on it last year. Much better now. Toro Rosso a bit boring. Always like yellow and black together. The Jordan stinger car remains a favourite, so I like the Renault. Like it better than last years. I have to say on pictures I love the MacLaren. It’s very pretty. Could be a favourite but need to see them on tele. Has. I like from some angles, not so sure on others. Like the look from the front. Not sure about so much white. Again need to see it on tele. Sauber looks a bit like the Hass. White and red. White again. Have I missed any? You realise this is all about looks and colour. It’s important they look nice. But I think the McLaren also looks like it might go fast. And the Red Bull looks like it will be fighty.

- Absolutely massive airbox and an absolutely massive sidepods compared to other teams. - They've kept the nostril nosecone which is nice with much bigger inlets than the Sauber. - Wheel rim mods to extra cooling - Toro Rosso has a pretty cool wing under the halo as well as on top of the halo, It looks like there is some sort of duct in it too which is weird. - They've followed Mercedes with a thicker and bigger nose seperator. - They've gone for a more stepped approach to the bargeboard area rather than letting the air flow get managed, flow for a bit and then get re-managed, they seem to be managing it in smaller chunks. - They do have an interesting floor with quite large holes in it. - They've got a very weird undertray of the nose. - They've got probably the weirdest shape sidepods of all the teams, it's weird how the sidepods vary so much this year. Mercedes & McLaren have gone for similar styles. It's interesting how some teams have gone for vortex generators and some have gone for mini wing fairings on the halo, I personally see the wing being a better solution. Mercedes has two freaking t-wings on their car now: Sauber has fins on the wishbones and also has a slimline camera mount just like Mercedes. Ferrari clearly have a new diffuser for testing: High quallity image of the Sauber bargeboards:

The Force India looks so feminine it should get Barbie as title sponsor!
(Can I still say stuff like this today? Don't mean to offend anyone, just a prank)
