Lewis says "this track has always been good for me..." Hey...what about 2007? To be fair to him he wasn't doing too bad in the race considering just made one tiny mistake which had big consequences. It wasn't Lewis' fault....it was the team who made the mistake, keeping him out on the worn tyres.... Bloody stupid ...... I

Lewis says "this track has always been good for me..." Hey...what about 2007? The irony is everyone now uses that tarmac (ex-Lewis'-famous-trap) to carry more speed into the pitlane and save time... Maldanado gave it a good going over yesterday...

Survey says...
Very interesting reading from pundits this morning:
Lewis Hamilton reduced Nico Rosberg 'to a ranting wreck in Shanghai' according to The Times, as the latest Mercedes row dominated Monday’s papers.
The word “selfish” was smeared across the majority of back pages as Rosberg accused his team-mate of ruining his race by driving too slowly.
However, Fleet Street disagreed with the German and feel that this is the race which showed him to be the clear number two at the Silver Arrows.
‘Champion tames feeble Rosberg’, was Ron Lewis’ headline in The Times, adding that Hamilton he had watched 'the Briton take charge and reduce his team-mate to a ranting wreck in Shanghai'.
‘Hamilton treated Nico Rosberg, his Mercedes team-mate, with a dismissive slapdown on the way to the most straightforward of victories at the Chinese Grand Prix,' he wrote.
‘The German pushed Hamilton hard for the world title for two-thirds of last season; this year he seems completely subservient.'
In the Daily Mail, Jonathan McEvoy concluded that Hamilton had now psychologically destroyed Rosberg after yet another defeat.
‘It was easy to sympathise with Rosberg, but difficult to agree with him', he wrote. 'Even though he was somewhat stronger here than during the opening two race weekends, he must be reaching his wits’ end, frustrated to distraction, wondering how on earth he can possibly beat Hamilton when he is on form.
‘It seems to this cod psychologist that it was Rosberg’s deep exasperation that led him to behave like he did.'
In The Guardian, Paul Weaver concurred: ‘The mystery is, if Rosberg felt he was being held up by Hamilton’s rubber management, why did he not attempt to overtake? Is it because the German has been psychologically scarred by Hamilton’s run of eight victories in 10 races? Rosberg knows he cannot beat Hamilton in wheel-to-wheel action, if both cars are in the same condition.'
After examining the race strategy, The Daily Telegraph’s Daniel Johnson says Hamilton drove the correct race for the team.
‘Hamilton drove conservatively, managing his tyres, particularly in the first half of the race,' he wrote. ‘But the memory of Ferrari’s triumph in Malaysia was fresh in his mind. His fear – and the team’s – was that their rubber would give up earlier than Ferrari’s, allowing Vettel a chance to steal victory. This seems a reasonable argument.'
With just a matter of days before the battle resumes in Bahrain, Johnson concluded: ‘It is Hamilton who holds all the cards. He is qualifying faster, racing better, and is well in the ascendancy when it comes to mind management.
‘Rosberg must regain his composure or he will be relying on more dubious explanations than the one he advocated here.'
The Sun’s Ben Hunt likened the fight between Hamilton and Rosberg to a boxing match between two fighters in different weight categories.
‘In truth, if their inter-team battle were a boxing match, it would have been stopped some time ago as Hamilton toyed with his opponent. Rosberg looks like a lightweight being pounded by a heavyweight,' he wrote.
‘Perhaps, then, it is understandable that after being so embarrassingly outclassed, Rosberg would come out swinging like a punch-drunk fighter and accuse Hamilton of playing dirty.'
Good stuff—all spot on.

Toto is diplomatic in his handling of the situation and tries to smooth things over, saying that Hamilton did nothing wrong but he understands the feelings of both drivers. Lauda is less politically correct calling Hamilton and Rosberg " egotistical bastards" . LAUDA’S LAW: JUST GET ON WITH IT Three-time world champion Niki Lauda, part of the management of Mercedes, was typically more forthright in his assessment of the spat. He doesn’t care what the “egocentric bastards” do, so long as they’re finishing first and second. “I don’t care if there is a quarrel, as long as Vettel is third,” he told the Telegraph. “There is only one week until the next race so the talk and b******* will stop quickly when they start driving again on Friday in Bahrain. “True, (Lewis) will drive selfish. These guys are egocentric bastards and it is the only way to win the championship. Nico is the same if s*** hits the fan. “Lewis was better this weekend. Lewis bites. He has the talent to bite. But Nico is nasty if he sees the chance. “Don’t worry. There is no friendship out there. When you race you have to fight. That’s it.” www.foxsports.com.au/motor-sport/formula-one/hamilton-v-rosberg-mercedes-say-lewis-hamilton-did-nothing-wrong-in-chinese-formula-1-grand-prix/story-e6frf3zl-1227301814302

Let's not forget the most experienced driver in F1 making a mistake more apt to be commited by the 17 year old on the grid instead. WTF was that rear ending of Maldonado? Good progress from McLaren though.
Here's a bold prediction. McLaren will score its first point/s of the year in Monaco.

So, if you've just crawled out from under a rock, may I be the first to welcome you...and to fill you in on the latest attempt to scar Lewis Hamilton in China (setting the "Lewis is making things difficult for me" crying claims of Mr. Rosberg). Some ingrate by the name of Roz Hardie, boasting a title of Chief Executive for Object, an anti-sexism campaigner, is taking Lewis to task for spraying one of the grid/podium girls with champagne (including in the face). Em, so Ms. Hardie, for decades when drivers sprayed other men, it was OK with you? How about when Danica Patrick celebrated and sprayed men standing around the podium, I don't believe we heard your heart-felt sentiments then. Is it possible that you hadn't been promoted yet to a speaking role within your organisation? In sport, particularly motorsports, an expected/anticipated part of the victory celebration is being part of the driver affairs on the podium, including the spraying of champagne. For years, people have revelled in that once-in-a-lifetime experience. It should be noted that, as far as I gather, this young lady has not turned to social media, the race promoters, the Chinese government or her parents to complain of the unbearable assault upon her person. So what makes this woman, Ms. Hardie, assume entitlement to write, "We think Lewis Hamilton should apologise for his actions and think carefully about how he behaves in the future.” Ms. Hardie, since there doesn't seem to be throngs of women around the world joining in the good fight, you would do well to focus on the bigger problems in the world. Or perhaps just go away! (If I didn't know any better, I'd swear your last name is a professional pseudonym and in fact your real last name is Rosberg.) Sorry, that last part was too easy, cheap and irresistible. Attachment DeletedAnyway...

There's loads about it on Twitter. I've put a bit in the Lewis thread and have been doing battle on Twitter. I've posted a picture of Danica and a guy spraying each other with champagne. And asked how that sits with them? Silence! They are using that young lady to put forth their own racist agenda against Lewis and masquerade it as feminism. The young lady in question will be unable to put her own view on social media is as both Twitter and facebook are banned there. How lucky we and to have freedom of press. And how thoroughly some people abuse it!! ( hmm might go and say that on Twitter too!!)

If you canvas a broader, larger sampling of sports enthusiasts, true enthusiasts, what you...we will discover is that no one sees anything racist or sexist about what Lewis did. And as you say, mum on Danica and the like. It's an opportunity for a soapbox in the press by an organisation that is about as established as a fart in high winds. They have no real credibility and so I take very little from Ms. Hardie's squabble.

To be fair here, this is exactly what we expect from the daily Heil. No doubt they alerted the feminist and asked her opinion, and then got someon to make a twitter comment to their article and boom - they have created a front page story. Lets face it - this is absolute non news and has worked for th fail an this feminist by all the clicks. No other half decent media outlet has even bothered with it. I was a bit angry at th blatant dicrimination against Lwis till I consodered the following; 1. It was the Daily Fail - a paper that is notable by it backing for Mosely and the Blackshirts before the war and its overt right wing housewife output ever since 2. Almost eveyone has laughed it of or treated it with derision, except from the usual suspects 3. Yes it didnt happen with Seb or anyone else or Danica etc. BUT guess what that is the Lewis effect, if Lewis takes a dump its big news, in a way this confirms his position in F1 beyond anyone else before 4. Finally, this is the funiest part - this is China, where the last thing anyone in that position woul do is complain about the much much worse officially condoned 'objectionalisation' amongst host of other corporate practices. The feminist lesbian that condems champagne spraying in China but ignores human rights can only be found at the en of a surprise phonecall from the daily Fail
Its more fun to take a note of those who are so eager to jump on Lewis (few beyond the twats that read the Fail)and finally let slip their true colours (no pun intended)

I'm kinda disgusted to find a couple of my friends on fb (girls) who don't even follow F1 commented on that "news story" (shared on fb) with "ugh, moron" and "he should have some class".
FREAKIN' SHEEP!!!! I put my comment in basically saying all those condemning are just SHEEP and this is a non news story, and here's why....here's hoping they see the comment.

Would that horse race be the Grand National? The most important horse race in the UK. Everyone knows about it and usually bets on it, even those who otherwise no absolutely nothing about horse racing. There's usually office sweep stakes too.
I also hate the whipping of the horses. There are new rules about whipping and being overbearing with the whip, but I can't remember. A horse died at that race.

I've seen a lot of cock fights, mostly human but also once with the animal xD and yeah that's brutal. It's a common thing out in Asia still.
I too am against the whipping, heeling and kicking that the Jockeys do. The way I see it, is would you like to be whipped, kicked or heeled like that... would you run faster if you had it done to you, answer is always yes to the later and no to the first.
So why do it to Animals?
