I think how this season pans out will already be decided in Nico's head.
A, he comes back determined to win. If so it will be a close season.
B, he has turned into Massa in his Ferrari years. Down beat and down trodden.

Anyone prepared to take a punt on when we'll get the first 'incident' ? And what it might be? Or do you think it will be sweetness and light all season? Sadly I think it will be the first race...

Just watching a 2014 review on BBC, mainly focusing on the rivalry between Lewis / Rosberg.
Man. You forget how great and the excitement that there was last season.
Yet some people say the season was dull.

Ha ha ha. I'd obviously missed this before. But when Hamiltons car catches fire in Hungry Qualifying, he pulls into the pit and on the radio Hamilton just says, in a dejected sigh..... "Oh for fuck sake".
Chuckle.

I felt so sad for him that day, head down, helmet on... for all we know he could of been crying his little eyes out ;( As much as I dislike Alonso I wouldn't want what happened during that Qualli session to happen to anyone especially when they're fighting for a championship and even more so when they're going up against the other front-running car, the only one who can battle for P1

It usually emanates from fans whose favourite team/driver is not winning, or fans of others sports who don't actually watch the season as it progresses. So much blah blah blah...

I think Nico will try a mind teaser here or there but may have to resort to focusing on his racing...especially if Lewis wins the first 2 or 3. This is less of a challenge for Lewis and more of a push for Nico. As we've seen over the years, very few can drive beyond their limit comfortably (like Lewis, Montoya and Mika). IMO, having watched Nico when the real pressure is on, he's not capable of doing it...and it will take that over a season to beat Lewis now. The heat is on!
Such fun!

Nico got the maximum boost he could get last year with a 25 point lead over Lewis in round 1. Anything less than that this time around automatically becomes a psychological edge for Lewis.

The "oh for fuck sake" and the dejected body language said it all. But whatever it was he had to do, he did it; because He won despite the brakes, the fire, monaco and Spa. And Nico can't get away from that. That must be a real worm in Nico's brain! If he'd had pole in Monaco, which he was on for, he'd have won it If he hadn't been taken out in Spa, he'd have won it If he hadn't had the fire he'd have won Hungary( he's amazing round there) Without the brake issue I think he'd have had Germany, he almost did with a damaged car. He was flying round there. That cant have escaped Nico's cerebral thought process. Mercedes have committed once again to allowing their drivers to go head to head. Good on you Mercedes!( thumb up smilie) m.crash.net/f1/news/215441/1/open-warfare-permitted-between-hamilton-rosberg.html

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/31847799 ...Lewis taking about Mental strength www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/31850325 ......Lewis' BBC Blog... Heck..I better try & find something from Nico........... www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/31852692 Nico looks half asleep... I'm really looking forward again to the racing between these two...but secretly I would love to see how Nico, managed the incidents Lewis had to contend with last year... RC has listed most of them above...(was it) Germany?, this really freaked me out...when Sutil spun on the pit straight, right by the last corner....Marshalls lives put at risk...because a safety car would have helped Lewis... Anyway better move on... I getting going on a rant.....

Spa was bad, Monaco was bad, but Nico was fighting for his, well I guess his reputation and the championship, so he did what he felt he had to do. There was no excuse for not deploying that safety car, non whatsoever.
