now way no how Kimi remains at Ferrari, no way no how Rosberg leaves Mercedes, and no way no how Red Bull let Daniel to leave. The silliest thing may be how McLaren does, I think Alonso will not stay if 2017 doesn't bring McLaren to regular contention for podiums and the occasional win. How am I supposed to account for Ferrari being bat shit crazy? Anyway, two out of three aint bad.

Come on...it's Ferrari. They paid a (this!!!) driver top dollar to leave the sport not too long ago.

I was thinking the same about Kimi, No way no how. Couldn't work out why Ferrari held on to him, well... I kind of know why and everyone else does, but the last couple GPs and Kimi has been quite impressive IMO, the Kimi of old is back, How long will it last though.

I was thinking what this could/would mean for Spa. It's generally his comfort GP and given the Ferrari woes of late, knowing Seb is struggling massively with the car etc etc etc.
Span and Monza, both low downforce so the aero dependencies equalizes things a bit at least for qualifying. You still need downforce to follow and overtake.
The last bit of silly season I guess we're left is, what will happen to Jenson, Massa and what that means for Perez and anyone trying to get a toe in.

About.....
So - Bottas has signed his extension. Would they hold a joint one if Massa was leaving? Id think that weird. So Im jumping to the conclusion he is staying. So that means no Button seat...?

Perez is said to be announcing his (sponsors) plans after the GP, perhaps he'll move into Williams?

Hopefully its about him finally BUZZING OFF. Thinking about it... A joint statement would work for a retirement. Its about time he left. He doesnt have it anymore. He has lost his edge. As soon as it rains he cries on the radio for the safety car. Felipe Massa, the 15-second world champion.

I'm just glad we're getting some movement. Massa out means there's a seat for a driver at Williams which will then trigger a stacking effect. If they take Button it's one thing. If Button retires it's something else entirely.
My thought at this point is that Button won't settle for too much of a pay cut. He pushed with McLaren on the money issue, I don't think he'd want to spend a year or two with Williams making 1/3 of what he's making now. But I've been known to be wrong. Yeah, I'd like to see him off but I think he's trying to seal his "legacy" in the sport with the most GPs run, topping Barichello.
Two empty seats in the sport, it would be nice to see them filled with fresh blood.

.....but I think he's trying to seal his "legacy" in the sport with the most GPs run, topping Barichello. Jesus. Thats 26 races, and therefore two more seasons....

It's my theory and I'm sticking with it until proven wrong. Two more years.

Two more years of duckling around n politicking his career through the sport, bringing nothing but more misery to whichever team he drives for....... I guess if Lewis wins another two titles and continues screwing around in midfield, it will more than make up for it.
