What is there to say about this one? Last race of the 2016 calendar, Hamilton needs to win and Rosberg has to finish off the podium for the WDC to be taken out of Rosberg's hands. Other than that, the only other movement that can happen in the top 10 would be Verstappen jumping Vettel for fourth and Massa/Alonso fighting for the top ten. Everything has been said and done. I've pretty resolute to the fact that the championship was decided through mechanical failure and only another mechanical failure would upset that now. It's been a decent year but I'm ready to move on. I'm ready for Ferrari to show up next year with a winning car, otherwise be labeled perpetual complainers when another team or two become dominant once again in the next era of regulations. McLaren and Renault both have the potential next year to tighten the gap to the front runners and overall I'm expecting a good things, especially from our new friends at Liberty Media. Thanks again to all my friends here, we should all share a collective toast this weekend and celebrate our little dysfunctional family!

Best case scenario is for RB to be on the ball and with a little pressure I'm sure Nico will buckle, the guy is a wimp under pressure. But they need the race pace and that's one big question mark.

It's a RB friendly circuit for sure.

Lewis has to hope that the bad luck that has plagued him for most of the season decides to change sides. So capricious is lady luck!

Rosberg will deliberately crash into Hamilton at Turn 1 and subsequently do a Schumi and lose all season points.

I don't think Rosberg has the cojones to do that! I'd respect him more if he did actually.

From the drivers press conference, there's an excerpt from what Lewis said today:
The most obvious example followed a long but quite pointed question about Mercedes' decision to swap five mechanics between the two sides of the garage at the start of the year. While Rosberg talked about "team spirit" and "everybody pulling in the same direction", Hamilton clearly still feels there was more to the decision than reached the media as he told the press to wait for a future autobiography to learn the truth behind the decision. When it hits the shelves at the end of his career it will be an interesting read!

The twittergate explosion turned out to be Ron Dennis purposely telling Whitmarsh to withhold the data showing Jenson's rear wing to be faster. Proving a point and all that, Dennis showed Lewis needed them more than they needed him. Horrible judgment calls like that have a way of catching up to people, sadly it's had a four year long impact on profits, sponsorship and results, maybe 2017 can be the first year back as a podium contender. Otherwise the hole dug at Woking is deeper than anyone could have imagined previously.
It's been a great season, nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of, and Nico will forever treasure his championship should he win it, just as much as the countless other one time champions. No shame in that.

NEWSFLASH: FERRARI END THEIR SEASON ON A HIGH BY TOPPING FP3, HEROIC LAP BY VETTEL.
Subtitle: Maranello bursts into celebrations and heavy partying for the next 2 weeks.
Arrivabene is seen holding back tears and commented "Never in our wildest dreams, but now you see why Sebastian is the best driver in the paddock".

Gifted on a platter 2016 WDC gets SCHOOLED again.
So does the 4x WDC, by the oldest driver on the grid.

In a world where Trump is president, anything goes. I really hope that if Nico wins the WDC he closes it up with a win tomorrow, otherwise Mercedes really screwed the pooch with the impact reliability had on the final. Based on the Q results and the fact that Red Bull feel like they had to gamble to be close, I think we've got another certain Merc 1-2 finish.

Alonso sticking out like a sore thumb here, really good job by him to get ahead of a Williams no less. Nico was flawless today at saving his car so things don't go wrong tomorrow, what else could explain the gap. Something else not to be overlooked because it hasn't happened since his return to Ferrari... Kimi outqualified his teamate for the first time. Vettel seems to be as lost as Ferrari, hoping the additional downforce and huge diffusers next year give him some confidence back. One last race tomorrow... bring on 2017.

I so believe F1s missing a lot of tricks in the marketing/drama aspect. They need trash talk, more argy bargy and more personality. Watch this clip from 14:30 - 17:30.
Let's start a new racing series without boring old manufacturers, only fun ones allowed. No PR talk, cars to be like F1 cars today but steel beams welded around the rear tyres (no need to change tyres through a race, only refueling allowed). Basically making the F1 formula more informal, mixing in some WWE presentation, tweaking a few stupid rules and making it more fun. Current MMA stars to be drivers. Any investors?
