Bottas seems to be struggling a bit, all weekend. I hope he's able to take away some points.

I need Lewis to drop kimis time by about 4 tenths and that'll do nicely. I think that unless it rains, that time will come down by a whole second, maybe more.

i think Ham has just blown my time out of the water. I was 1.43.555 which I think is .002 outside a second away, damn! I thought I should have gone down on last year by 3.7 but I bottled it to about 3.2 . Blast, blast.
But hey, I'll take it! Lewis now has the most poles! Whoop, whoop!!

It was an utter destruction of the lap record. Interesting that Ferrari did whatever they could to get Vettel in the front row. Having Kimi sacrifice his lap to get his number one teammate a perfect tow. It's amazing the lengths their willing to go to get their driver a championship chance.
Feel bad for Bottas because he really tightened up hit game after struggling quite a bit for the weekend, he managed to put together a fine lap.
Tomorrow's race results will be interesting, after the podium, the midfield is completely up in the air. Unless there's a major turn one incident or rain or a mechanical... these decisions are always so much fun!

Was interesting on tv. Mark Webber was raving about Lewis' lap and said Vettel was behind but got up there with the tow.
Coulthard than starting raving about the Vettel's 'come back' and made little of the tow. Throwback to the steak dinner days I guess.
Yes, big shame what they made Kimi do, he'd been much better than Vettel all weekend. Still, he can't tow him through the whole race...so we'll see.

Another alarm bell for Toto, that Lewis is racing the entirety of Ferrari, maybe back him for the WDC a little bit when they can?

to be fair, Kimi bitched about vibrations at the start of that last flyer, so he wasn't going to improve anyway.

Speaking of vibrations in the tires... Some weird harmonics in Spa, I remember having a discussion back a couple of years ago when Vettel's tire blew at the top of Raidillion. This was happening on the exit of turn 20.

I dont think vibrations always prevent you to improve your time like Hamilton demonstrates it in Q2. Kimi was improving his time in S1 during the last stint but he ruined his own lap by making a mistake in the sector 2.
Congrataulation on my boy HAM but tomorrow is the day so please keep focused and take a good star. This day will be also remembered as the day where captain slow almost outqualified Hülkenberg. Glad to see Palmer performing well before his mechanic problem. Such a shame for him who will probably start from the end of the grid If not, overtake the Force India's boys will be really hard lol.

If I was a driver these Pirrelli's tyres would scare me as they are pretty bad. I will probably never be confident with that.

It is basically impossible for Lewis to keep his first position tomorrow with the slipstream effect at the openning lap after Eau Rouge/Raidillon no ? Is there any example where the poleman kept his first place ?
Edit : Well shame on me, 2015 is one of them.

Still trying to reassure me thinking Hamilton will keep the lead after Les Combes.

He might not keep the lead......but it won't be all over. You can overtake here. Lewis, Bottas and Kimi were all faster than Vettel much of the time. It was that tow that got Vettel up there. Trill be interesting!
Getting scared now. These starts kill me!

Wow that was a masterful pass on Kimi! Great racing so far, I think things might shift a bit now with the soft tires.
