Verstappen: "I don't want to be sandwiched"
Kimi: "Well I don't want to be hit!"
First time Kimi actually made me laugh out loud in years. I'd buy that T-shirt instead of the overhyped 'I know what I'm doing' crap.

We had a "family" day out today, and I made ONE request... that we be home by 7pm to watch Qualifying. That didn't happen. Thankfully I convinced the kid that the F1 app was a game and she needed to tell me anytime someone's time went purple while I drove Then, after not hearing her say "VET", I checked at the lights and saw P20.. and it was a happy trip home after all!!

Wow! Watched quali on my iPad so couldn't get on here as well. Did NOT expect Lewis to get that one! Not after the last couple of days! Harsh on Vettel. Welcome to the world of Lewis Hamilton 2016! But he has a fast car and in this track he can score good points. Lewis meanwhile has Kimi and Vest to contend with! Juicy! As RyRy said great show by Ghastly! And at McLaren, there's been a couple of times recently that Vandoorne has made Alonso look a little ordinary. Either it's just a blip, or Vandoorne is superb, or Alonso not quite as special as we're lead to believe? I watched Vandoorne live GP2 at Monza couple years ago. He was stunning then. Bottas needs to up it. He seems to recover himself during the race but is unspectacular in the first stints. And us more and more getting dropped by Lewis in quali. Come on Bottas! Kickass!

This is the first year I think I can remember in Hamilton's entire career where "luck" has aided him. Perhaps the spell is broken. In any case, don't think Mercedes weould have walked out of there with today's pole had Vettel's car stayed in one piece. Mixed blessing for Vettel at least as I'm sure they'll opt to bring in an entire new PU since they're starting at the back already. This way he'll have a whole round of spare components. (I'm a little confused) If they brought in a new PU I know they'd have to use that one as the race PU but actually forgot which loophole they plugged so a driver wouldn't be able to bring multiple PUs in one penalty. Okay, back to the day, Gasly did well to be a tenth off of Sainz, glad he's made the most of his F1 career so far. Lastly of note is Vandoorne two tenths up on Alonso. Witht he Red Bulls pace tomorrow it's going to be hard for Vettel to climb up from the back of the grid. I'll put him in 5th, don't think a podium will be possible given the gap there will be unless he gets very lucky with a SC or three. Rain predicted for tomorrow at all Hammer ?

You tell him I don't like him very very much. but send my congratulations. We were brutal with the pole times as a group, I think just about everyone scores today. But raceday tomorrow, let's see how far Vettel makes up up the grid. Once again it's frustrating that we were robbed of a mano a mano battle between these two. I'd have for Lewis to win this year a la Rosberg. Especially when Ferrari has such a good car. I think Vettel would have put it on pole today.

Race start time is 3pm....hardly rains here at that time. Usually starts spitting down after 5pm. I know this well because the weather here is perfectly poised to make the usual 9-5 staff workers miserable. Rush hour + rain + accidents, perfect KL weather.

Okay it's almost 100% guaranteed we have a rolling start. Typical heavy rain. And it started almost an hour ago at the circuit....just started raining at my place.
I just hope we don't have goddamn red flag delays man....that's what I hate about this circuit.

Hammer good morning I really want a wet race, sure it makes it less likely that Hamilton will win but it should bring Red Bull & McLaren into it more as they both perform very well in wet conditions.

Yes Ryry....I'm all for a wet race but not here. A wet race usually means laps under safety car and annoying delays.
