Come on rain! Stop now! I want a Q3! My team mate prediction is now screwed since I made the mistake of switching to kimi, silly me!!
LAUDA is talking about a q3 tomorrow if it doesn't go today, is that right? Or will it be Q2 positions?

Will Tamponico get a penalty for intentionally holding up Lewis?

Hamilton that was supreme, that was a stupidly fast first lap in last bit of qualifying. I loved hearing Rosberg say: "guy who's on top, is he taking dry lines everywhere?" aka Lewis Will Tamponico get a penalty for intentionally holding up Lewis? Naw, he won't.

A phenomenal lap! What Lewis did on that first lap banker to be good enough to have survived everyone's second attempt with the track having been so much dryer is something that you probably won't hear the media shout too much about because all the news is the Ferrari in P2. Hamilton's lap was a master class. A shocking factoid... never in the history of McLaren have both cars failed to get out of Q1.

Button was very happy with his qualifying, which is the important thing.
The journey is near completion now, from Lewis' pole at his last race for the team, the pole stats have steadily lead southwards to this point.
But Jenson had a big smile on his face as he 'beat' Alonso and Manor
Even Ron has to be laughing at what a grea job Button has done leading the team since Lewis' last race

Nico screwed himself there trying to be clever. He tried to disrupt Lewis' final run by running ahead and dictating things for his benefit, however Lewis decided to lead and wasnt too 'careful' making sure both had clean final runs. And ofcourse Lewis already had a 1 sec banker over Nico so the worst to happen would be another driver setting a faster time whilst the 2 of them were 'compromised' by Lewis' lack of 'care' .
But Lewis judged it well as his banker was too good for Sebs final lap
This demonstration of street smarts and racng intelligence should have been the big story, but the commentators were to impressed in Sebs second to notice where the gift came from

Will Tamponico get a penalty for intentionally holding up Lewis? We all thought Nico was just an air head, now its clear that he is actually an absorbent softly quilted air pockets head

Notes - Lotus's Romain Grosjean dropped two grid places as penalty for not leaving the pit lane in the order he arrived during Q2.
Marussia's Roberto Merhi and Will Stevens failed to set a time within the Q1 107% requirement, but granted permission to race by the stewards.

Verstappen!!! Wow!! Very impressed with that guy! in those conditions as well. Definately one for the future!
Lewis' first lap was amazing! Nothing to gauge anything by, just feel of the car and he's over a second faster than his team mate. And Nico can't copy. There we have it if we needed further proof, Nico couldn't copy because there was nothing to copy, everything changed for the last session, no data to look at. So Nico tried to ask the pitwall and of course they couldn't tell him.
Both Nico and Lewis seemed to make light of the place swapping. Looked like Nico tried to disrupt Lewis, Lewis got past him but then git in traffic anyway.
Well Lewis has learnt from last tear to always get the banker in, and what a banker that was!! He was lucky in Q2 with Kimi coming past him like that then them both getting held up. However did Lewis manage to get P8 while Kimi ahead was out? So glad he did though!!

Nice side by side comparison from Bruno here, notice the difference in the amount of rain from the first flying laps when Lewis got his time, to the second attempt when Vettel got his time.

So. Vettel gets invited to one engineering meeting at Mercedes, and he has split the Mercs.
Did they get carried away and forget he was there in the meeting, and let slip about the secret shortcut.
