I think this is Ferraris last chance to hit back and claim a 1-2 or a 1-3. Mercedes likely to struggle quite badly here, all their aero strengths are negated and I'm sure they stopped development of this car by now....with the low pressure and lots of slow tight twisty corners, made for Ferrari.
Redbull will determine if Lewis could aim for the podium or just settle for 5th and seal the deal. I'm gonna be a Verslappen fan again this weekend, hope his car stays intact so he can jam one down the inside of Vettel at the first corner.

If history is anything to go by, a Verstappen win is on the cards.
Whenever Kvyat has been demoted or dropped for the weekend then Max wins.

I have them 1-2 in the interforum. was tempted to go max for pole too but went vettel in the end. max was lightning last yr in q2 and the car is better now

This one is going to be tight. Anyone's win on Sunday, maybe we'll have out epic race after all? Lewis' sector 2 times was compormised though by a yellow flag.

“Something burst, something burst. Ahh! There’s acid or something on my seat," “Get a spare suit.” says Vettel.
Mexican food or did he drink the water?

A shame overtaking will be really hard on this track. At least drivers will be under pressure. Also Bottas long runs werent impressive compared to Lewis. For the moment, it looks like he will deliver a poor performance again on sunday.

Yeah, the thing with Bottas, I just don't know. I guess Mercedes will have to figure out what's going on with him but it seems like they've taken the car in a developmental direction where he simply can't hang. On the other hand, Lewis is doing with the car whatever he wants it to do. It's like he can get more out of the tires and get the tires in the temp range and keep them there without overheating. He was ominously steady with his long simulations in FP2. Certainly not the fastest times but when someone is that steady you know they're driving in control to a time.

One thing I feel positive about is Mercedes will start on first gear tomorrow according to Franck Montagny who said since the begining of the season they were starting on second gear (is it true though ? with Canal+ we never know). But If Hamilton doesnt take the lead after the first corner, will he have a chance to win on pure pace or RB and Ferrari will be too quick ?

I dont understand how Ricciardo struggles with the car like that, something is just wrong with RB to me. I will never believe Verstappen is 9 tenth or something like that faster than Ricciardo.

They were struggling with his car in particular but Verstappen also has a new experimental PU they gave him last weel. I'm sure it's got some of the Q juice the Mercs and Ferraris have been enjoying all along.

vettel and verstapen both on the front row and with nothing to lose could be entertaining.

It's shocking how poor Hass are doing ever since they refused to become Ferrari's b-team with junior ferrari drivers they appear to have lost all of their pace.
Hass qualified 6th in Australia, they came last at Mexico... even behind both of the Saubers who are running a 2016 engine that has had zero developments all season.
Embarrassing.

Driver of the day has to go to Sebastian Vettel! Driver of the year, Lewis Hamilton. A good race to watch beginning to end. Congratulations to Mercedes for their fourth double double. Making it five is going to be a tough task. Let's how next year is free of controversy and chock full of good racing.

Driver of the day Max. Driver of the year Lewis. Dirty player of the year Vettel. He turned in on Lewis again. He also gained an advantage late in the race by leaving the track....thought that was a no no? But not even an investigation! But hey who cares. Lewis is Champion again!!!!!Oh and guess who I spoke to today in a video phone call? Alonso’s race engineer.
